Eric Tennenbaum

Eric Tennenbaum is a principal and co-founder of Genesis Asset Advisors LLC. With the founding of Genesis, Eric had a simple goal: create an unmatched platform for exceptional financial professionals and affluent consumers within the life settlement market. Through his dynamic, forward-thinking approach, and an uncanny ability to understand the "best of breed," Genesis has achieved significant success and respect within the industry. His hands-on leadership combined with his superior capital market relationships are making Genesis the preeminent choice in a market where choices abound.

Because Eric understands how to take knowledge from "theory to practice," he is also known as a leading innovator and solution-driven professional, with a unique grasp of the issues in this ever-evolving industry. Additionally, his extensive experience in healthcare and finance-particularly as it applies to the country's growing senior population-has given the firm a reputation for being a leading comprehensive resource.

Eric's proactive approach to business also impacts his personal projects. He is well known for being a champion of education in the marketplace, both to the consumer and the trade. For him, a knowledgeable consumer is a loyal one, and thus the most valuable asset of all. Eric wants consumers to truly understand their best options, and at the same time, works tirelessly to ensure that professionals are able to convey those options.

Prior to forming Genesis, Eric specialized in finance, healthcare and insurance for over a decade. In his role as Director of a renowned medical facility in the Northeast, Eric was responsible for navigating the regulations governing the financial components of Medicaid and Medicare, as well as conventional insurance coverage. Thanks to his extensive knowledge in both financial matters and insurance products, he was able to provide residents and their advisors with superior insight while maintaining an equally superior level of profitability. Small wonder that when it comes to financial matters, both seniors and their advisors have been counting on Eric's counsel for many years.

Eric was then recruited to join a national insurance financing company as its Managing Director. Despite being responsible for all daily operations of this group's Northeast office, Eric personally generated over $200,000,000 in life insurance and related products for financing while overseeing the processing of close to $700,000,000 of life insurance.

His extensive experience in senior marketing combined with unparalleled understanding of the geriatric mindset has led to him serving as an advisor to many of the life settlement firms in the industry, as well as leading general agencies and financial professionals. He has been a strong advocate for regulation in the market and the exclusive use of institutional capital.

Eric resides with his wife and children in New York City. Despite a schedule that often leaves little time for personal pursuits, he is active in many charitable organizations-always with the same hands-on approach that is his trademark. Eric also volunteers his resources, counsel and time, to numerous other local and national causes.


Robert Kestenbaum

Robert Kestenbaum is the Director of Strategic Outreach & Marketing for Genesis.

Robert comes to us with a unique set of skills and expertise that will further enhance the scope of our already state of the art client services. He will also spearhead our growth within the nonprofit community, assisting such entities in discovering the potential of life settlements as part of their overall planned giving program.

His experience includes 25 years as a nonprofit executive, including ten years as the Executive Director of The Workmen’s Circle/Arbeter Ring. His original training was as a health administrator at the Columbia University School of Public Health, which prepared him for his roles as Director of the Medical Department of The Workmen’s Circle and Regional Manager with Doshi Diagnostic Imaging Services.

Over his career, he has earned a reputation as a service oriented and caring professional. Nowhere was this more apparent than in his most recent position as Family Service Counselor with the historic Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, New York.

As a licensed life and health insurance broker, and an experienced writer and editor, he has assisted many professional associations develop and market an assortment of benefit programs for their members.

He is also an active nonprofit board member with expertise in organizational governance and compliance. He currently serves on the board of Workmen’s Circle Multicare Center in the Bronx, New York, where he chairs the Compliance Committee, The Village for Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Freehold, New Jersey, where he chairs the Bylaw Revision Committee, and Workmen’s Benefit Fund in Farmingdale, New York, where he chairs the Audit Committee. His volunteer activity also includes Family Centers, a social service agency in Greenwich, Connecticut.

A native New Yorker, he and his wife of 32 years, Phyllis, reside on Long Island, New York.
